Rated as one of the five top annual rivalry games by Sports Illustrated, this is one of the most enduring pure college games played by individuals who will be serving their country instead of playing in the NFL.

The game is traditionally played as the last game of the regular season for both teams. The Army-Navy game has been held at several locations throughout its history, but has most frequently been played in Philadelphia, roughly equidistant from both academies.

Several hours prior to the game, the Corps of Cadets and the Brigade of Midshipmen each march onto the field. This is a sell out every year and a must see for the true fan.

The chanting of the fans and the spirit videos shown during lulls of the game add to the friendly, but intense rivalry. At the conclusion of the game the alma maters of both teams are sung. Tradition holds that the losing team’s alma mater is sung first. Regardless, both Army and Navy players stand together in show of solidarity and mutual respect.
